Reading of the Slow Channel, generative plate from seed 500508790Forty-six bands stacked from the top down, each one a closed shape lying between two sine curves of differing amplitude, frequency and phase. The bands overlap, because each advances the cursor by only 62% of its own height. About one band in six is filled in an accent at higher opacity than the rest; the stack stops early if it runs past the bottom edge. It has been drawn thousands of times and has never once varied.

Late Two Registrations, generative plate from seed 1632399245Nine centres, each emitting 34 closed rings whose radius grows as the 0.7 power of the ring index, so the spacing tightens as they widen. Each ring is a thirty-segment polygon pushed off true by a sinusoid whose amplitude grows with the index, and both stroke weight and opacity fall away as the rings get larger.
