Survey of the Ninth Hour, generative plate from seed 3412972630Three grids of parallel lines drawn over one another and rotated about the centre: one at zero, one at a small angle between 1.2 and 7.2 degrees, and a third at a negative fraction of that angle in an accent colour. Approach to the Ninth Hour, generative plate from seed 3120897729Nine centres, each emitting 34 closed rings whose radius grows as the 0.7 power of the ring index, so the spacing tightens as they widen. Each ring is a thirty-segment polygon pushed off true by a sinusoid whose amplitude grows with the index, and both stroke weight and opacity fall away as the rings get larger. The order of the decisions is fixed. Only the looking is loose.
