Notes on Carob, generative plate from seed 2116082187Nine centres, each emitting 34 closed rings whose radius grows as the 0.7 power of the ring index, so the spacing tightens as they widen. Each ring is a thirty-segment polygon pushed off true by a sinusoid whose amplitude grows with the index, and both stroke weight and opacity fall away as the rings get larger. This is the only version. There were never any others.

Model of Rain on Limestone, generative plate from seed 2875055661Streamlines through a fixed vector field. Each of 220 lines starts at a random point and takes 110 steps of five units, turning at every step by the sum of three sinusoids of its current position. A line stops early if it leaves the plate. Roughly one line in seven is drawn in an accent rather than the ink colour, and each is given its own width and opacity. Every line had a reason, and none of the reasons was taste.
