Study for Akamas, generative plate from seed 1223880055Forty-six bands stacked from the top down, each one a closed shape lying between two sine curves of differing amplitude, frequency and phase. The bands overlap, because each advances the cursor by only 62% of its own height. About one band in six is filled in an accent at higher opacity than the rest; the stack stops early if it runs past the bottom edge. Late Carob, generative plate from seed 2323766840One rectangle divided recursively. At each node the split usually runs across the longer side, at a ratio between 0.3 and 0.7. Division stops at depth eight, below 34 units, or on a 7% chance at any node. Every surviving cell is stroked with an inset, about one in five in an accent, and about one in ten also takes a translucent accent fill. The density is a count. The balance is an accident of the count.
