Notes on the Ledra Line, generative plate from seed 2131303938Forty-six bands stacked from the top down, each one a closed shape lying between two sine curves of differing amplitude, frequency and phase. The bands overlap, because each advances the cursor by only 62% of its own height. About one band in six is filled in an accent at higher opacity than the rest; the stack stops early if it runs past the bottom edge. Provisional the August Reservoir, generative plate from seed 761532746Three grids of parallel lines drawn over one another and rotated about the centre: one at zero, one at a small angle between 1.2 and 7.2 degrees, and a third at a negative fraction of that angle in an accent colour. The interference figure is never drawn. It is what your eye does with three grids that do not quite agree. This plate is seed 761532746 in the Troodos Pine palette. © 2026 artcyp.com

The rule ran once and stopped where it was told to stop.

Survey of an Empty Frequency, generative plate from seed 4006871897One rectangle divided recursively. At each node the split usually runs across the longer side, at a ratio between 0.3 and 0.7. Division stops at depth eight, below 34 units, or on a 7% chance at any node. Every surviving cell is stroked with an inset, about one in five in an accent, and about one in ten also takes a translucent accent fill. A number went in. This came out. There is no third thing.

After the Salt Crust, generative plate from seed 2515388031Nine centres, each emitting 34 closed rings whose radius grows as the 0.7 power of the ring index, so the spacing tightens as they widen. Each ring is a thirty-segment polygon pushed off true by a sinusoid whose amplitude grows with the index, and both stroke weight and opacity fall away as the rings get larger.
